Governors keep digging us holes
Cecil Kippenhan, Cameron

In the past 2 weeks there have been letters in The Rice Lake Chronotype stating that Governor Doyle left Wisconsin $3 billion in the hole. Why can't these people ever tell the truth? That $3 billion was what remained of the $5 billion that Tommy Thompson had put there.
During Tommy Thompson's time as governor, each time he was up for re-election he cut taxes, and that is what created his $5 billion deficit.
Now this is Walker's plan. If he keeps on he, too, will have Wisconsin in the hole, and it will not be possible for him to take $6,000 from 100,000 public workers to fill his hole.

Well if having my property taxes reduced so that my money and labors do not get dumped into someone else's pocket is a hole, then keep digging Governor! Only a liberal thinks that putting holes in my paycheck is great news.
