Lois Jensen

Lois Mae Jensen, of Edmond, OK, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 in Oklahoma City, OK.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 49 years, William "Bill" Jensen; son, Bill K. Jensen and his wife, Jennifer, of New Auburn, WI; daughter, Julie Ziehme and her husband, Matthew, of Edmond; grandchildren, Sarah and Adam Ziehme; brother, Robert Lumsden and his wife, Lavonne; sister, Charlotte Rovney and her husband, Bill; brother-in-law, Gordon Longnecker; Char and Pat Francalancia; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Marcella (Larson) Lumsden; and one sister, Marcia Longnecker.
Born on October 16, 1941 in Eureka, WI, Lois learned early that her walk and faith with God would be an eternal relationship. Church was a big part in her life and it was evident as she was very active in many women's church groups. When Lois wasn't reading scripture, you could find her reading numerous Christian fiction novels.
Lois married the love of her life on December 6, 1963 in Cushing, WI. She could take a joke as easily as she would give them. She loved the company of her children and especially her grandchildren. Lois also was an avid seamstress, making many quilts and giving them away to family and friends. She was a long time employee of the Rice Lake School District.
Lois will be remembered as a woman of great faith who was thoughtful and caring, full of passion and a loving heart. She will be missed by many.
A memorial service to celebrate the wonderful life of Lois was held on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church. Memorial donations may be made out to the charity of one's choice in honor of Lois. Family and friends are also invited to a memorial service in Long Lake, WI on July 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Long Lake Lutheran Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Local arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Appleyard's Home for Funerals.
