Warren Forehand

Warren (Red) Conrad Forehand, age 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Our Home Senior Living in Rice Lake, WI. He was born on August 9, 1927 in Barron to Raymond and Ellen (Hanson-Beals) Forehand.
Warren joined the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1946. On May 17, 1950, he married Palma Engstrom and to this union four sons were born. He lived most of his life in the Rice Lake and
Cameron area.
Warren worked several years as a boiler operator for the Gerland Creamery before owning and operating Red's Midway Bar in Rice Lake.
In his early years, he managed softball teams, and enjoyed many hunting, fishing and camping trips with family and friends. He loved to watch his grandson race. He had a flair for music, playing drums and guitar, and dancing. Throughout his life, he enjoyed being a tease to everyone and his smile would light
up a room.
He is survived by his three sons, Gary (Cheryl) of Rice Lake, WI, Ron (Connie) of River Falls, WI, and Brian (Michelle Powers) of Cumberland, WI; eight grandchildren, Angela (Corey Quick) of Chippewa Falls, WI, Luke Forehand of Madison, WI, Jason (Samantha) Forehand of Eau Claire, WI, Leah and Alaina Forehand of Bozeman, MT, Ahren (Ella) Forehand of River Falls, WI, Ashley and Andy Forehand of Cumberland, WI; and three great-grandchildren, Blanca Forehand of River Falls, WI, Asher Forehand of Eau Claire, WI, and Alexander Quick of Chippewa Falls, WI; sister, Donna Reynolds of Milwaukee, WI; and special friend, Debbie Poznikowich of Weyerhaeuser, WI; as well as other family and friends.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gregg; former wife, Palma Forehand; step-father, Wilmer Beals; step-mother, Alice Forehand; and step-sister Joan.
The family would like to thank the staff at Our Home Senior Living for his excellent care during his stay there and Mayo Clinic Hospice. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Cremation Society of Wisconsin. Warren requested a private gathering of family rather than a
memorial service.
