James E. "Jim" Henrich, age 76, of Prescott, WI, died peacefully on Friday, April 11, 2014 at United Hospital, St. Paul, MN, surrounded by family and friends. Jim was born on February 13, 1938 in St. Paul, the son of Magnus and Rose (Betz) Henrich.
He graduated from high school and served his country in the Navy. He married Alice Nielsen on November 9, 1968. For many years he worked for the 3M company as a quality control engineer until his retirement.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Jim is survived by his wife, Alice, of Prescott; son, Scott, and his wife, Amy, also of Prescott; two grandchildren, Andrew and Jacob; one brother, William (Debra) Henrich; two sisters, Donna (Russ) Maas and Helen (Dan) Danzinger; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary; and brother, Donald.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Prescott, WI. Burial will take place at a later date in Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spooner, WI.
