Carole Davidson

Carole L. Davidson, 93, of Rice Lake died on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Rice Lake Convalescent Center with her family by her side. She was born on April 23, 1920 in Rush City, MN to Carl Oscar and Anna (Hulquist) Lindstrom.
Carole grew up in the McKinley area and attended school there. She was married in Madison, WI on June 14, 1951 to Lawrence Davidson who preceded her in death on August 11, 2005. Lawrence was an airman in the US Air Force, so they moved often to various bases.
Carole enjoyed bingo, overnight bus trips, auctions, garage sales and traveling to see family. When the kids were young, she was an avid crafter, but specialized in making paper dolls for her children. She also had a fondness for animals, especially her beloved cat, Blacky and dog, Spike. Carole was a wonderful mother who loved her children and their families
very much.
She is survived by eight children, Eugene (Betty) Lindstrom of Rice Lake, Barbara (Reuben) Kirkland of New Richmond, Charles Holder of Barron, Bonita Campbell of Grand Island, NE, Lawrence (Lynn) Davidson Jr. of Barron, Gail Hanson of Chetek, Shelly (Bob) Black of Chetek and Denise (Terry) Dischinger of Rice Lake; 24 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, her nursing home family and many friends.
Carole was preceded in death by her children, James, Allen and LaJina; two grandchildren, Jody and Robert; four great-grandchildren,Brooke, Kyia, Desiree and Michael; and siblings, Lorraine Weeks, LaVerne Lindstrom, Geraldine Lindstrom, Delores Strenke and an
infant brother.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Skinner Funeral Home in Cumberland with Rev. James Gale officiating. Burial was in McKinley Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jamey Fisher, Matt Fisher, Zachary Fisher, Troy Holder, Lawrence Davidson, III and Anthony Leadford.
Skinner Funeral Home of Cumberland was serving the family.
