Carol Harbaugh

Carol Ellen Harbaugh, 71, of Barron, WI, went to be with her lord and savior on Saturday, October 26, 2013. Carol was born on September 9, 1942 in Rice Lake to Roy and Eldora (Wicken) Moore.
She graduated in 1960 from Barron High School. She attended teacher's college for two years at Rice Lake.
Carol married Ken Harbaugh on August 19, 1961 at Salem Lutheran Church in Barron. Carol and Ken were married for 52 years. Carol worked for 15 years for Jerome Foods. She then ran her own in-home daycare for 12 years. Carol loved spending time with her grandchildren and her "adopted" grandchildren. She enjoyed playing the piano and accordion. She also enjoyed fishing, camping with her husband and raising her beloved
guinea pigs.
Carol was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and taught both Bible school and Sunday school.
Carol is survived by her husband, Ken; children,
Rebekah (Dale) Bryan, Amy Stone (David White) and Robert (Tammy) Harbaugh, all of Barron; sisters, Dora Hanson and Lois (Scott) Arnold of Rice Lake; brother, Clarence (Jane) Wicken of Sand Creek; sister-in-law, Delores Moore of Chetek; brother-in-law, Cecil (Marlene) Harbaugh of Blaine, MN; grandchildren, Terra, Andrew, Victoria, Nicole, Mandy, Travis and Greyson; "adopted" grandchildren, Shauna, Marcus, Trenton and Leila; great-grandchildren, Dillon, Benjamen, Nicholas, Matthew and James; and by many nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Robert Moore.
Visitation will be on Thursday October 31, 2013 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron. Funeral services will be on Friday November 1, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Barron, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. at Lakeview Cemetery in Chetek, WI.
