Glenn Lee

Glenn A. Lee, age 74, of Stone Lake, WI, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013 at his home. He was born November 9, 1938 to Melvin and Verna (Slagstad) Lee in Barron, WI.
Glenn enlisted in the military in 1956 after graduating from Barron High School and was honorably discharged from the United States Navy in 1959. Glenn was married to Donna Dempsey in Whitewater, WI on October 17, 1964.
After graduating from UW-River Falls, he started his career at Wilson Meat Co. in 1964. He then went to work for Production Credit Association and later became a manager at Agristore Credit before founding Lakeside Systems Inc.
in 1976.
After running the business for 30 years he retired to "The Lake." When the winters got too long he continued to enjoy the sun at The Villages, FL. He enjoyed spending time golfing, snowmobiling, collecting old cars especially T-Birds, going to car shows
and fishing.
Glenn was a very caring, easygoing man who loved life and enjoyed driving his boat on Long Lake. He was very social and enjoyed sports, especially the Packers, Brewers and Badgers.
Glenn Lee is survived by his wife, Donna Lee of Stone Lake, WI; a son, Robert E. Lee of Menasha, WI; a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Patrick Hoey of Urbana, IL; two grandchildren, Grant and Honora; a brother, James Lee of Wausau, WI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Verna Lee; and a brother, Gerald Lee.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at First Lutheran Church in Barron, WI Rev. Lori Peper officiating, with interment in Wayside Cemetery in Barron. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Appleyard's Home for Funerals.
