Florence Thompson

Florence E. Thompson, age 94, of Cameron, WI died Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Northland Nursing Home in Barron surrounded by her family and friends. She was born October 26, 1918 to William and Elizabeth (Bauer) Erickson in the Town of Arland, Barron County, WI.
On December 20, 1943, she was married to Marvin Thompson in Spooner. In 1956, the family moved to Cameron.
Florence was a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She has been a lifelong member of Faith Lutheran Church in Cameron.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin, on October 14, 1996; daughter, Judy Witkowski, on January 24, 2012; brothers, Bill, Fred, Alfred, Frank, Albert, Lawrence and Carl Erickson; and sisters, Alice "Lizzie" Olson and Celia Hanson.
She is survived by her sons, Gene (Janice) Thompson and Larry (Lois) Thompson, all of Cameron and Tom (Terri) Thompson of Barron; daughter, Peggy (Don) Paulus of Cameron; son-in-law, Mike Witkowski of Chetek; 12 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 18 at Faith Lutheran Church in Cameron with Rev. Loren Barker officiating and interment in Wayside Cemetery in Barron. Visitation was held on Tuesday at Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron and also at the church on Wednesday. Arrangements were with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron and Dallas.
