Joyce M. Froehlich, 91, of Cumberland, died Monday, July 1, 2013 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Rice Lake. She was born August 26, 1921 in Nottingham, England to Ernest and Nellie (Spencer) Moult.
Joyce was raised in England. She met her future husband, Harold, during WWII while he was stationed at Molsworth AFB. They were married in Nottingham, England on May 24, 1945. They moved back to the Cumberland area after the war, where they farmed for a short time.
She was employed as a bookkeeper at Stein Brothers Steel Fabricating and later for Indianhead Oil until her retirement in 1987.
Joyce enjoyed horses, dogs and all other animals.
She is survived by two sons, Howard (Brenda) Froehlich of Gordon and Jim Froehlich of Cumberland; five grandchildren, Mike Froehlich of Dresser, Nate (Liz) Froehlich of Cumberland, Randy (Jackie) Froehlich of Paducah, KY and Joe Froehlich of Solon Springs; ten great-grandchildren, Gianna, Evan, Clare, Tim, Hailey, Andrew, Isaac, Ben, Cain and Eli; and one nephew, Barry (Ann) Moult of Gananaque, Ontario.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Harold on January 21, 1996. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Pati Ward; and one
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Cumberland, WI. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Cumberland, WI. Pallbearers are Larry Froehlich, Bob Prytz, Nate Froehlich, Mike Froehlich, Joe Froehlich, Randy Froehlich and Don Horstman. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Skinner Funeral Home Cumberland and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
