Janice Darlene Gagner, age 72, of Sarona died Thursday, May 30, 2013 at her home. She was born July 16, 1940 in Rice Lake, WI to Glenn and Irene (Winterowd) Nelson and was raised in the Brill area.
She was married in Pine City, MN, on August 18, 1956, to Richard Gagner. They moved to Waukesha for ten years then moved to Cumberland where they farmed with Dick's father before purchasing their own farm
Jan enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardening, feeding the birds, dancing, puzzles, listening to music and spending lots of time with her whole family.
She is survived by seven children, Robert (Mary) Gagner of Bangor, Kevin (Darlene) Gagner of Clayton, Jean Prue of Menasha. James Gagner of Rice Lake, Judith (Dennis) Schroeder of Black Creek, Jeffrey (Tammy) Gagner of Sarona, Brenda Gagner of Sarona;12 grandchildren, Nathan, Brandon and Aaron, Heidi, Tammy and Corey, Virginia and Brent, Ashley, Cody and Austin, Brianna; 16 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Delores (Paul) Blakeslee of Camdenton, MO, Kenneth Nelson of Rice Lake, Wayne (Rosemary) Nelson of
Dick preceded her in death on May 3, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Edna Dostal.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Skinner Funeral Home in Rice Lake with Pastor Todd Arneson officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 5 at the funeral home and one hour before the service
Skinner Funeral Home is serving the family.
