Robert Schnider Sr.

Robert L. Schnider Sr., age 73, of Gordon, WI, died Friday, September 20, 2013 at Middle River Health & Rehab in South Range.Robert was born March 12, 1940 to Johnnie and Wilma (Holiday) Schnider in Rice Lake, WI.
He attended Jefferson Grade School, graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School and attended Rice Lake High School.
He was married to Marlyce Holmstrom on February 10, 1962 in Rice Lake. He worked at the Snow Fence Factory, Johnson Truck Bodies, Rice Lake Sanitation, Rice Lake Brewing Company, Indianhead Black Topping for many years, American Excelsior for 10 years and in the maintenance department at Mastercraft Industries.
The hobbies he enjoyed were racing, fishing, ice fishing, hunting and riding ATVs.
Robert Schnider is survived by his wife, Marlyce Schnider of Gordon, WI; a son, Robert L. (Samantha Story) Schnider Jr. of Rice Lake, WI; a daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Scott Bartell of Bristol, WI; two grandchildren, Michael Schnider and Broc Weber; a great-grandson, Cooper; four brothers, John "Buddy" Schnider of Winthrop Harbor, IL, David Schnider of Zion, IL, Francis Schnider of Cameron, WI and Christopher Schnider of Port Isabelle, TX; two sisters, Vonnie Dunn of Spruce Pine, AL and Christina Griffith of Beach Park, IL.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Ann; a son, David Schnider; his parents, Johnnie and Wilma Schnider; and two sisters, Joyce Holmberg and Beverly Holiday.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Assembly of God in Rice Lake, WI, Rev. Alan Klasi officiating, and interment in St. Joseph Cemetery in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
