Officers were elected at the Monday night, May 21 meeting of the Cameron School Board. Don Rappel will continue in his second year as president. Gene Phillips was elected vice president. Roger Olson continues to be clerk, and Randy Hill will serve as treasurer. The board approved renting 13 acres of the district property located north of Cameron to Rich Busch for $150 per acre. Phillips was appointed CESA Board of Control representative. In personnel items, board members approved transferring teacher Julie Olson from first- to second grade next school year.
School news Assistant district supervisor Joe Leschisin reported that bids will go out for the elementary school building May 1. A prebid walk- through is 10 a.m.-noon May 13. Bids will be closed on June 5 and the board will discuss and approve them June 9. A groundbreaking ceremony for the new school is June 10. Senior awards banquet is May 14 from 6-8 p.m. Graduation is Friday, May 23 at 7 p.m. Summer school is June 10-20. - - - - -
