Hearing loss affects all generations [Infographic]

(BPT) - Hearing loss affects more than one of every six Americans. Although some are born with hearing issues, many risk factors are treatable and help minimize the effects of hearing loss. Hearing loss may lead to both health and employment issues, while diabetes, dementia, cardiovascular disease and lower pay are associated with untreated hearing loss. Most side effects of hearing loss can be overcome by wearing hearing aids. However, only one out of five people who could benefit from a hearing aid actually wears one. Learn more about hearing loss by visiting with a hearing care professional or at www.hearingaids.com.
