Red Cedar Symphony Orchestra and Chorus

The Red Cedar Symphony Orchestra is a
community organization of volunteer musicians from a five county area. The orchestra
presents three to four concerts each season, with 6 to 8 rehearsals preceding each
performance. Rehearsals are held at the University of Wisconsin Barron County Fine
Arts building in Rice Lake. String musicians interested in performing with the
orchestra should contact conductor Edward G. Thompson, at (715)-234-8176 ext. 5410 for a
rehearsal schedule.
The Red Cedar Chorus is comprised of 60 to
75 volunteer singers under the direction of Mr. Edward G. Thompson. They perform
twice annually; a holiday program in December and a Sacred Arts Concert, in conjunction
with the Red Cedar Symphony Orchestra, held in March.
